Today was the final day of the 2011 Australian Open. I was off early this morning as the lone kiwi in the Semi Final and didnt get off to a great start! My plan was to push hard in order to qualify for the top ten final, but with penalties on the first 3 ups and a slight touch in the stagger sequence I put myself out of contention. Its been awesome training here for the past 2 weeks! There are heaps of quality paddlers here so there is loads of learning going on and a few new boat designs to try out. More and more nations are turning up to do their winter training in the summer sun. Its great but does make for some crowded sessions…. The normal Penrith heat came out on my first week  [ Read More ]
