Well its that time of the year where I head home to catch up with all of my friends and family! Its a great time of year as I don’t really get enough time throughout the year to see everyone! I had to head home a little earlier than expected but this just means more time chilling out in the awesome Hawkes Bay sun, before the craziness of 2012 starts!!! The Kawerau Training camp was held last week and was aimed at developing our younger athletes and also developing some of our coaches. The weather looked like it was going to present some issues but luckily its always sunny in Kawerau… The kids stayed warm and had a great time and learnt a lot from our coaches. The past week has been a super busy one for me with the NZ U23 and U18 Training Camp held in at Massey University in Palmerston North. We had a very international coaching staff including Nathalie from Switzerland, Martin from Czech Republic and myself. We also had a couple of presentations from leading sports science providers and psychologists from Massey University. Thanks to everyone that came to the camp as it was a great weekend!!
