The Kawerau Training camp was held last week and was aimed at developing our younger athletes and also developing some of our coaches. The weather looked like it was going to present some issues but luckily its always sunny in Kawerau… The kids stayed warm and had a great time and learnt a lot from our coaches. Unfortunately the wild weather hit the Bay of Plenty pretty hard so there was too much water to hold a race at the Wairoa river. However we had a great night at Ellas 21st and then had to drive home to Napier early Sunday morning.
